New, extended reporting structure in second-quarter interim report 2003 Skanska's interim report for the six months ended June 30, 2003, will be published on July 24, 2003.The new reporting structure, as described in the Annual Report and other publications, will be applied as of the second quarter of this year. The new, extended, reporting structure means that earnings will be reported on the basis of four areas of operation: Construction-related Services, Residential Project Development, Project Development of Commercial Premises and BOT (privately financed projects). In addition, Construction-related Services and Residential Project Development will be described by market. To facilitate comparisons with earlier periods' results, the quarterly results for 2002 and the first quarter of 2003 in accordance with the new reporting structure are enclosed. These tables can also be downloaded in EXCEL format from the Group's website: www.skanska.com/investorrelations. The accounting principles and calculation methods described in the latest annual report and in the interim report for the first quarter have been applied to the consolidated financial statements, if not otherwise stated. The capital employed per market and per business stream have been defined according to the Economic Value Added model Skanska uses - Skanska Value Added, SVA - in which internal deposits to Skanska Financial Services are subtracted from the gross capital employed as defined above.
