New Business Unit Presidents for Skanska Sweden and Skanska Norway

Anders Danielsson has been appointed Business Unit President for Skanska Norway. He will be succeded in his current position as Business Unit President for Skanska Sweden by Pierre Olofsson.

Anders Danielsson will assume his new position as of April 2 and will be based in Oslo. He has been in the company for 21 years, with the last three and a half years as Business Unit President for Skanska Sweden.

"Anders has a long experience in leading large organizations and a solid track record of developing profitable operations. Together with his values, his ability to improve processes and develop talents I believe he’s very well suited to accomplish a successful turnaround in Skanska Norway and to lead the business into the future," says Johan Karlström, President and CEO of Skanska.

Anders Danielsson succeeds Petter Eiken who will pursue other opportunities outside Skanska.

He has played an important role in Skanska Norway and in developing collaboration among our Nordic construction operations as well making Skanska Norway an industry leader within work safety and business ethics," says Johan Karlström.

As of March 26, Pierre Olofsson succeeds Anders Danielsson as Business Unit President for Skanska Sweden. Pierre Olofsson is currently Executive Vice President in Skanska Sweden with responsibility for Building Construction operations in Sweden. Pierre has been in the company for 19 years.

"Pierre is a customer and profitability oriented leader with strong values and a good track record in work safety. I’m convinced that he will continue and further develop the excellent performance of Skanska Sweden," says Johan Karlström.

Skanska Norway focuses on construction and civil engineering operations. The unit has approximately 4,200 employees. In 2011, Skanska Norway reported revenue of about SEK 12.5 billion. In Norway, Skanska is also active in the development of residential, commercial properties and public private partnerships (PPP) projects.

Skanska Sweden is one of Sweden’s largest construction companies with operations involving building and civil engineering. The business unit has about 10,000 employees, and revenues amounted to about SEK 27 billion in 2011. In Sweden, Skanska is also active in developing residential and commercial premises.
