New President appointed at Skanska Latin America

A new president has been appointed for Skanska’s business unit in Latin America since the current President, Mario Piantoni, will retire at the end of the year. He will be succeeded on January 1, 2006 by Gustavo Vago.

Gustavo Vago has more than 20 years experience from various positions within Skanska Latin America. His most recent post was Vice President and Operating Director. “We wish to thank Mario for his major contribution. At the same time, we also firmly believe that Gustavo’s experience and knowledge of the Latin American market makes him highly suitable to successfully lead the company’s continued work,” says Stuart Graham, President and CEO of Skanska. Skanska Latin America is one of the continent’s leading construction companies. The company has been named Skanska’s Business Unit of the Year for two consecutive years and is one of Skanska’s most profitable business units. The operation is focused on construction-related services, primarily for the international energy industry and civil engineering, including public-private partnership (PPP) projects.
