Skanska has been contracted to construct a water reclamation facility in Tampa, Florida. The contract amount is USD 49 M, approximately SEK 340 M, which will be included in order bookings for the third quarter of 2007. The customer is Hillsborough County.

The project involves expansion of the Northwest Regional Water Reclamation Facility, located in West Tampa. The facility, which treats and reclaims water for irrigation, among other uses, will be expanded and modernized. Capacity will be doubled to approximately 38,000 cubic meters per day.

The project involves constructing a new facility connected to the existing plant, which will be upgraded. Skanska’s assignment involves construction of concrete structures and installation of equipment for water treatment, monitoring and control.

Work will begin in September and is expected to continue for two years.

Earlier this year, Skanska received its largest US order to date, relating to the Croton Water Filtration Plant in New York. Skanska’s contract totals USD 1.04 billion, or approximately SEK 7.2 billion. In addition, Skanska is currently constructing and upgrading six other water-treatment facilities in New York and seven in Atlanta, Georgia.

Skanska USA Civil focuses on construction of transportation infrastructure and facilities for energy, water and water treatment. The company, with operations in the eastern US, Colorado and California, has approximately 3,800 employees. Skanska USA Civil had 2006 sales of approximately SEK 9.8 billion.
