Skanska has signed an agreement with OBOS to build 121 apartments in Bærum, Norway. The contract is worth approximately NOK 480M, about SEK 475M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the third quarter of 2021.

The project is a pilot in The FutureBuild program in Norway and has high environmental ambitions. There will be high use of eco-friendly solutions that consume little energy and leave as small climate footprint as possible (e.g. low carbon concrete). The overall goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by between 30 and 50 percent.

Skanska has participated in the development of the project together with OBOS since 2017 and has had a vital role as environmental consultants.

Construction is expected to begin during the third quarter of 2021 and the project will be completed in the second quarter of 2024.
