Skanska builds highway in Rogaland, Norway, for NOK 378M, about SEK 390M

Skanska has signed a contract with the Norwegian Road Authority (NPRA) to build a motorway in Rogaland County, Norway. The contract is worth NOK 378M, about SEK 390M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the second quarter 2023.

The project includes the construction of 2.7 kilometers of a new four-lane motorway and 1.5 kilometers of footpath and cycleways between Hove and Osli in Rogaland.  The construction work also includes construction of bridges, noise shielding, water and drainage handling and cable works. The project will be environmentally certified according to BREEAM Infrastructure, level Very Good.

Construction is expected to begin during second quarter 2023 and will be completed in the second quarter 2026.
