Skanska builds K-Citymarket building in Lahti, Finland, for EUR 28M, about SEK 320M

Skanska has signed a contract with Kesko Oyj to build a new K-Citymarket building in in Lahti, Finland. The contract is worth EUR 28M, about SEK 320M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the second quarter of 2024.

The total floor area of the new K-Citymarket building is approximately 20,000 gross square meters, of which a hypermarket will cover approximately 9,500 square meters. The project includes building and building systems.  The retail spaces are located on the first floor, and there will be a heated parking garage in the basement.

The new K-Citymarket will comply EU Taxonomy and the project is aiming for an environmental classification Breeam Very Good.

Construction work will begin in April 2024 and will be completed in the fall 2025.
