Skanska builds new hotel in Helsinki Airport, Finland, for EUR 86M, about SEK 870M

Skanska has signed a contract with KOy Apron to build a hotel developed by LAK Real Estate Oy in Helsinki Airport, Finland. The contract is worth EUR 86M, about SEK 870M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the third quarter of 2021.

The hotel will be the largest hotel in Finland with over 700 rooms totaling about 37,800 square meters. It will have five restaurants, spa, gym, and excellent services for meetings and conferences. The building is expected to receive a LEED Gold certification. The hotel will be operated by the Nordic Choice Hotels.

Construction starts in the beginning of October 2021, and the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2024.
