Skanska builds school in Valkeakoski, Finland, for EUR 28M, about SEK 300M

Skanska has signed a contract with the City of Valkeakoski to build a new school in Valkeakoski, Finland. The contract is worth EUR 28M, about SEK 300M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2022.

The 9,700 square meters school building will have capacity of 850 pupils. In addition to classrooms, break room and lunchroom, there will be an exercise hall. The project is aiming for RTS environmental classification for the site.

Construction will start in the beginning of 2023 with demolition of the old school building. The project will be completed in the second quarter of 2025.
