Skanska completes enabling work for light rail expansion in Washington, USA, for USD 57 M, about SEK 520 M

Skanska has signed a contract with Sound Transit to complete enabling work for the Lynnwood Link L300 light rail expansion project in Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace, Washington, USA. The contract is worth USD 57 M, about SEK 520 M, which will be included in US order bookings for the first quarter 2019.

Skanska will provide services as demolition, temporary sediment and erosion control, advanced utility relocations, temporary parking construction and grading and earthwork for access on the about 6-kilometre project. This enabling work precedes construction of the planned light rail extension.

Construction began in March 2019 and is scheduled for completion in March 2020.
