Skanska constructs campus in Washington D.C., USA, worth USD 78 M, about SEK 510 M

Skanska has signed a contract with American University (AU) to construct the school’s new East Campus in Washington D.C., USA. The contract value is USD 78 M, about SEK 510 M, which will be included in order bookings for Skanska USA Building for the third quarter of 2013.

Skanska is responsible for providing construction management services to build the East Campus’ six new buildings, which collectively total nearly 32,000 square meters. The new buildings will be targeting LEED Gold certification.

The precontruction and design has already started and the new campus buildings will open for occupancy in fall 2016.
