Skanska continues to develop, build and rent out new office premises at Hjälmarekajen on Universitetsholmen in Malmö. Skanska and Öhrlings PriceWaterhouseCoopers have signed a seven-year rental contract. Skanska’s investment amounts to SEK 200 M.

The new office building at Hjälmarekajen will house a total of 8,500 square meters of office space of which Öhrlings PriceWaterhouseCoopers will lease 3,700 square meters. “We are highly satisfied and are looking forward to our future new offices at Hjälmarekajen,” says Magnus Willfors, Office Manager at Öhrlings PriceWaterhouseCoopers. “This offers the best conditions for developing a creative and exciting work environment for our employees. The location at Hjälmarekajen is the absolute best in Malmö, near the inner-city, the sea as well as Malmö College and the Citytunnel highway link.” The project is part of the second phase that Skanska Öresund is developing and building at Hjälmarekajen on Universitetsholmen. Earlier, Skanska developed and build offices in the area for KMPG, White Arkitekter and FöreningsSparbanken. “We are very pleased to have Öhrlings PriceWaterhouseCoopers as new tenants at Hjälmarekajen,” says Richard Hultin, President of Skanska Öresund. “We see a strong demand for offices in the area and this establishment facilitates a continued expansion on Universitetsholmen. “ The project will begin at year-end 2006 and occupancy is scheduled for the end of 2008. Construction will be carried out by Skanska Sweden. Contact has been initiated with interested tenants for the remaining 4,800 square meters of the project. Skanska Kommersiell Utveckling Norden (Skanska Commercial Development Nordic) initiates and develops property projects within offices, logistics and shopping centers. Office operations focus on the three large metropolitan regions in Sweden and the Copenhagen region of Denmark. The development of logistics facilities is conducted in strategic locations in Sweden and in Copenhagen. Commercial buildings are developed in strong retail markets in Sweden and Finland.
