Skanska divest logistics property in Gothenburg for SEK 305 M

Skanska has divested a logistics property in Gothenburg. The selling price is SEK 305 M and the capital gain for Skanska is SEK 79 M. The buyer is Wilfast Förvaltning AB and Norwegian Ness Risan & Partners AS, jointly with an investment consortium.

The transaction pertains to a logistics property, with cargo terminal and office premises totaling approximately 20,400 square meters. The property was completed in 2009 and is fully leased to DHL Freight. The new owner will take possession of the property in June 2011.

“The divestment is confirmation of demand in the market for logistics properties and demonstrates that our in-house logistics product with long-term lease contracts and stable tenants is attractive to property investors,” says Jonas Karlsson, Transaction Manager for Skanska Fastigheter Göteborg AB.
