Skanska has divested an office building in Kiruna, Sweden, to Luleälven Fastigheter AB for about SEK 260M. Construction of the six-storey building will start in 2021 and transfer of the property will take place in connection with completion in 2023. The transaction will be recorded by Skanska Sweden in the Commercial Development stream in the third quarter 2021.

The office building, named Börsen H1, will be located on the town hall square in the new Kiruna city center, adjacent the town hall. The project, which is being developed and built by Skanska, is a natural continuation of Skanska's involvement in Kiruna's urban development. Skanska is building the new hotel in the city and there are plans for further projects in the Börsen district in the future.

With high sustainability requirements regarding climate, energy performance and choice of materials as well as waste and water management, the office building will have a very low environmental impact. The building will be equipped with roof mounted solar cells with the goal to be self-sufficient in property electricity. The intention is for Börsen H1 to be certified according to LEED Gold.

Construction begins in the fourth quarter 2021 and will be completed in 2023.
