Skanska divests office property in Helsinki, Finland, for about EUR 135 M, about SEK 1.4 billion
Skanska has sold an office property in Helsinki, Finland, for about EUR 135 M, about SEK 1.4 billion. The buyer is HANSAINVEST Real Assets. The property is developed by Skanska Finland and will be booked in the Commercial Property Development stream in the second quarter of 2019. The transfer of the property will take place in January 2020.
The property will be the headquarters for the European Chemicals Agency, ECHA, for which ECHA and Skanska signed the lease agreement in December 2017. Skanska communicated about the office investment in March 2018. The eight-storey office building is under construction at a central location in the Telakkaranta area in Helsinki.
In total, the ECHA building complex comprises about 17,700 square meters of leasable space. Construction of the new premises is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.
