Skanska invests EUR 23M, about SEK 230M in a commercial development property in Espoo, Finland
Skanska has acquired a development property in Espoo, Finland. The seller is MSD Finland Oy and the investment amounts to EUR 23M, about SEK 230M.
The property encompasses 4,600 square meters of office space and 180 parking places. The property also has over 3,000 square meters of unused building right. After the acquisition Skanska aims to refurbish the existing office building and develop new office premises on the property.
The property is in ever-developing Keilaniemi, which has a prime location by the sea with excellent transport connections. The area is known as an innovation and technology hub.
Skanska is one of the leading construction- and project development companies in the Nordics, with operations in building construction and civil engineering in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and developing residential- and commercial property projects in select home markets. The commercial development stream is also active in Denmark. Skanska had sales of about SEK 66 billion and about 14,800 employees in its Nordic operations during 2020.
