Skanska lands new contract in Czech Republic valued at SEK 332 M Skanska's subsidiary in the Czech Republic, IPS Skanska, has been contracted for a warehouse and distribution terminal valued at CZK 1,187 M, about SEK 332 M. The client is the Prague Central Store department store. The contract is for a distribution terminal and warehouse in Modletice in central Czech Republic. The approximately 48,000 square meter facility will be 21 meters in height and will be constructed in steel and concrete. The contract is included in order bookings for the second quarter 2001. Work is under way, with completion scheduled for April 2002. With focus on construction-related services in the Czech Republic, IPS Skanska became part of the Skanska Group last year. IPS Skanska has sales of about CZK 24 billion, SEK 6.6 billion and has an order backlog of about CZK 16 billion, SEK 4.5 billion.
