Skanska leads sector in Dow Jones Sustainability Group Index Skanska is the world's leading construction services company for sustainable development. Skanska is ranked highest among construction sector companies on the Dow Jones Sustainability Group Index - the list of global companies that combine stringent demands on profitability with long-term sustainable development. This is the third consecutive year that Skanska has been included in the list. This is the first year that the Dow Jones Sustainability Group Index includes a separate section for construction services companies. The list is topped by Skanska, which is thus considered to be the leader in its sector. Leaders in other sectors are, for example, British Telecom, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Dow Chemicals, Intel, Sony, Swiss Re, Unilever and Volkswagen. Companies motivated by sustainability are judged to be able to achieve their targets through proactive, cost-efficient and responsible action.
