Skanska publishes Annual and Sustainability Report 2023: Financial strength maintained
Skanska has published its Annual and Sustainability Report for 2023, including a version in European Single Electronic Format (ESEF). The report, which is attached to this press release, can also be downloaded at group.skanska.com/investors. A printed copy of the report can be ordered on our website or via e-mail to investor.relations@skanska.se.
The report includes financial statements and an overall summary of our performance of the year. For Skanska, 2023 was characterized by strong delivery in our Construction business stream and impact of weak property markets on our Project Development business streams. We maintained our financial strength.
We continued to make progress on our sustainability targets in 2023. Our combined scope 1 and 2 emissions both declined during the year and are now 60 percent below the baseline year of 2015. We remain committed to our target of net-zero carbon emissions by 2045, both in our own operations and in our value chain. The sustainability report provides an update on progress towards achieving our climate targets as well as information on our work with sustainability.
We also give an insight into some of our most exciting projects we worked on during the year.
