Skanska has been commissioned by Leksandsbostäder to carry out the renovation and extension of Edshult's special housing. The assignment is worth about SEK 390M, which is included in the order bookings for Sweden in the second quarter of 2026.

The project includes the reconstruction of the existing building and an extension. Particular emphasis is placed on ensuring accessibility and creating an indoor environment that promotes safety, participation and quality of life for the residents. The project also includes the garden environment outside the residence.

The residence comprises a total of 121 apartments and the investment is an important part of Leksand's long-term work to meet the increased need for care and nursing places.

Construction is planned to start in the third quarter of this year and the work is expected to be completed in 2030.
