Skanska renovates tunnel in Oslo, Norway, for NOK 580 M, about SEK 620 M
Skanska has signed a contract with the Norwegian Road Administration (Statens vegvesen) to renovate the Granfoss tunnel in Oslo, Norway. The contract is worth NOK 580 M, about SEK 620 M, and will be included in order bookings for Skanska Norway for the third quarter of 2015.
The project also includes construction of a concrete cover over an open area to reduce noise and establish new land for housing.
Work is expected to begin in mid-October 2015 and will be completed in September 2017.
Skanska Norway focuses on construction and civil engineering operations. The unit has approximately 4,000 employees. In 2014, Skanska Norway reported revenue of SEK 13 billion. In Norway, Skanska is also active in development of residential, commercial properties and public private partnerships (PPP) projects.
