Skanska sells housing project in Stockholm, Sweden, for about SEK 400 M

Skanska Rental Properties has within its strategic partnership with Folksam signed a contract for a transfer of Hyresbostäder Sköndal KB. The deal includes construction of six rental apartment buildings with a total of 178 apartments. The contract is worth about SEK 400 million and the transaction will be recorded by Skanska Rental Properties for the fourth quarter of 2015.

Sköndal is located near Drevviken in southern Stockholm, Sweden, a location close to nature with services, activities, schools and kindergartens in the area.

The project has started and will be ready for occupancy during 2017. Folksam gains access over the company in early 2016 and will also be responsible for the letting and management.

Skanska Rental Property develops, builds, and manages modern and affordable rental units in selected markets in Sweden. Development activities occur for internal property management as for external parties. Skanska Rental Property is a wholly owned subsidiary of Skanska AB.
