Skanska sells office building in Warsaw, Poland, for EUR 83M, about SEK 800M

Skanska has sold the first office building of Generation Park in Warsaw, Poland, to HANSAINVEST Real Assets GmbH for EUR 83M, about SEK 800M. The transaction will be recorded by Skanska Commercial Development Europe in the fourth quarter 2017. The transfer of the property is expected to take place late in the first quarter 2018.

The building has a leasable area of about 21,000 square meters and was completed in November 2017. It is almost fully leased, where Citi Service Center Poland occupies about 90 percent.

Generation Park will be Skanska’s largest office development in Central and Eastern Europe. The complex will comprise of three office buildings with total leasable area of around 84,000 square meters. The project is expected to receive LEED Platinum certification. The highest building, a 34-storey tower, will reach 140 meters (180 meters including the spire). The complex will also be independently certified as a “Building without barriers” for its accessible design (inclusive for people with disabilities).
