Skanska Sweden sells the police station in Södertälje, Sweden, for about SEK 300 M, and the deal will be recorded the second quarter 2013. The buyer is Vacse AB, a consortium of pension foundations, which will take possession of the property in December 2013.

The new police head station has a total area of 7,800 square meters, and will be ready to open during the fourth quarter.

“It is a pleasure to see that we have found a buyer for the new police office, which is designed for the activity of the police authorities such as high demands for safety, quality and accessibility. Sustainability has also been an integral part of our work and the aim is to certify the police office according to the Swedish standard ’Miljöbyggnad’, gold level”, says Joachim Holmberg, Business Development Manager, Skanska Sverige AB.

“For Vacse and its owners, this investment is another step in our shared philosophy of placing the foundation’s capital safely and with predictable returns", says Ossie Everum, Chairman, Vacse AB.
