Skanska sells three properties in Denmark for SEK 313 M Skanska is divesting three properties in Copenhagen, at Holbergsgade 2- 3, Tordenskjoldsgade 20-24 and Niels Juels gade 5. The total sale price is SEK 313 M and represents a capital loss of SEK 17 M. The sale is being reported in the fourth quarter 2003, with transfer expected in December 2003. The buyer is the Danish real estate company Atlas Ejendomme. The three properties were acquired by Skanska's Danish construction operations in the mid-1990s. They were then transferred to the Swedish project development operations and have after that been refurbished and leased. Tenants in the properties are the Danish Palaces and Properties Agency, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture & Fisheries and the Ministry for Refugees, Immigration & Integration Affairs. Skanska Project Development Sweden focuses primarily on the initiation, development, management and sale of commercial property projects (offices, logistics and volume retail centers). The main emphasis is on Stockholm, Gothenburg and the Öresund region. Skanska Öresund is a subsidiary of Skanska Project Development Sweden. During 2003, Skanska's project development operations in Sweden and Central Europe have sold properties totaling SEK 7.2 billion, at a combined capital gain of around SEK 2.2 billion. Some 90 percent of the capital gain is attributable to projects completed during the past five years.
