Skanska signs agreement concerning the sale of Elit Fönster Skanska has signed a binding agreement with the private equity group Triton concerning the sale of Elit Fönster AB. The sale will result in an estimated capital gain of around SEK 175 million in the Skanska Group. Elit Fönster is the leading Swedish producer of wood- and wood/aluminum framed windows, with Sweden, Norway, Japan and England as its major markets. Elit Fönster had in 1999 total sales of around SEK 540 million and an operating income of around SEK 40 million. Triton is a well-established private equity group with investments in Northern Europe and Germany and with offices in Frankfurt, London and Stockholm. The divestment of Elit Fönster is part of Skanska's strategy to focus on its core business within construction related services and project development.
