Skanska signs contract for Emergency Department Expansion and Renovation in Boston, USA, for USD 45.6 M, about SEK 430 M
Skanska has signed a USD 45.6 M contract, about SEK 430 M, for an emergency department expansion and renovation for Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. The contract will be included in order bookings for Skanska USA in the second quarter of 2019.
The expansion and renovation will be multi-phased, and the emergency department will be operating throughout. The first phase will include the expansion into about 2,300 square meters of space adjacent to the emergency department, while the second and third phases include the demolition and reconfiguration of the existing emergency department. Additionally, there will be major upgrades to the Power and HVAC Systems throughout the Hospital.
Construction began in March 2019 and is scheduled to be complete by late 2021.
