Skanska signs contract to erect steel in San Francisco, USA, worth USD 189 M, about SEK 1.2 billion

Skanska has signed a contract with the Transbay Joint Powers Authority to supply and erect steel for the Transbay Transit Center in San Francisco, USA. The contract value is USD 189 M, about SEK 1.2 billion, which will be included in order bookings for Skanska USA Civil for the third quarter of 2013.

Skanska will supply and erect 24,000 tons of structural steel in the project. The scope is part of The Transbay Project, which is the largest transit project in the Western United States.

Work will begin immediately with completion scheduled for fall 2015.
