Skanska to build commercial office building in the City of London for about GBP 57.6 M, about SEK 695 M

Skanska will begin work on The Featherstone Building, EC2 in September 2019 for Derwent London. The contract is worth GBP 57.6 M, about SEK 695 M, which will be included in the order bookings for Europe in the second quarter 2019. Work is due to complete in November 2021.

This mixed used commercial development, consisting of office and retail space, will have an internal floor area of about 1,160 square meters and a 90-metre-long façade at the front of the building. It is designed to look like four individual office blocks that vary in height and colour.

The Featherstone Building is targeting the highest environmental standards to achieve both BREEAM 2014 - Outstanding and LEED V4 - Platinum environmental accreditations.
