Skanska to construct mobile telephone facilities for Ericsson in Argentina for SEK 480 M Skanska's Argentinean subsidiary, Sade, has been contracted to carry out construction and installation for Ericsson's facilities for mobile telephony in Argentina. Ericsson's customer is the Argentinean telecom operator Telefònica Unifon. Sade's contract is valued at USD 57 M, about SEK 480 M, and the assignment is to be completed within one year. The contract includes all necessary civil works required to set up the communications equipment and antennas in the most important locations in Argentina. "This is another example of Skanska's heavy involvement in the growing international datacom and telecom sector," says Lars Wiklander, President of Sade. "It is stimulating to be involved in the expansion of mobile telephony in Argentina," says Juan Pedrazzo, Sade's Project Manager within its Energy Transportation Business Unit. "One of the most interesting challenges of this project is the vast geographic zone that has to be covered in a very short implementation time."
