Skanska to develop, construct and lease for Ericsson in Sundbypark Skanska and Ericsson have signed a ten-year agreement whereby Ericsson will lease 15,000 square meters in Sundbypark, a new area for high- technology companies that Skanska is developing and building in the Sundbyberg suburb of Stockholm. Skanska's investment for the first 15,000-square-meter stage amounts to nearly SEK 300 M. Work begins in January, with occupancy scheduled for June 2002. The premises are designed for high-tech companies such as Ericsson. Sundbypark is being developed in the middle of Sweden's most expansive area, in the center of the growth triangle Sundbyberg-Solna-Kista, located close to both the Bromma and Arlanda airports. The architecture is unifying, with the character of a campus area, featuring eight individually designed buildings. Skanska will construct a modern business estate area on land currently undeveloped. In total, Sundbypark will encompass about 65,000 square meters of leasable office premises. Construction is scheduled in stages during the years immediately ahead. Skanska is a leader in project development of modern and efficient premises. Skanska and Ericsson have cooperated closely for many years. Currently, Skanska is developing and building a total of 105,000 square meters for Ericsson in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Lund, as well as 10,000 square meters in Budapest. In addition, Skanska and Ericsson have a global cooperation agreement covering build out of UTMS networks for mobile telephony.
