Skanska to elect three new Board members

Skanska to elect three new Board members The Nominating Committee has decided to propose that the Annual General Meeting on May 6, 2003 elects Stuart Graham, Skanska's President and CEO, as well as Ulrika Francke and Jane F. Garvey, as members of the Board of Skanska AB. The Committee also proposes that the Board will continue to have nine members. Jane F. Garvey, born 1944, is Chairman Transportation Practice and Executive Vice President of APCO Worldwide, a global, strategic communications and consultancy firm. Ms. Garvey also serves as Lecturer and Research Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Most recently, Ms. Garvey served a five-year term as Administrator of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Prior to this appointment, Ms. Garvey served as Deputy Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Ms. Garvey has held the position of Director of Logan International Airport in Boston, MA, and was Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Public Works. Ulrika Francke, born 1956, is President of SBC, the tenant-owners' association in Sweden. Previously, Ms. Francke has served as Streets and Property Director and Buildings Director in Stockholm, President of the Brommastaden real-estate company and Buildings City Commissioner in Stockholm. Stuart Graham, born 1946, is Skanska's President and CEO since 2002. Since 1990, Stuart Graham has held a number of positions within Skanska, including responsibility for the US operations. Eliot Cutler has declined re-election and Per-Olof Eriksson is prepared to resign to provide an opportunity for renewal within the Board. Claes Björk, former President and CEO of Skanska, resigned earlier. The Nominating Committee has further proposed the re-election of the other Board members, Sverker Martin-Löf, Roger Flanagan, Sören Gyll, Finn Johnsson, Arne Mårtensson and Anders Nyrén. The Nominating Committee comprised Sverker Martin-Löf, Board Chairman of Skanska AB and Vice Chairman in AB Industrivärden, Staffan Grefbäck, Head of Assets Management at Alecta, Per Ludvigsson, President of Inter Ikea Investment AB, Mats Guldbrand, Equities Manager at AMF Pension and Curt Källströmer, Bank executive and head of the Chairman's Office at Handelsbanken.
