Skanska USA has signed a contract with the New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) to rehabilitate the electrical and mechanical systems of the Madison Avenue Bridge. The contract is worth USD 36 M, about SEK 320 M, which will be included in the US order bookings for the third quarter of 2018.

The Madison Avenue Bridge, built in 1920, is a swing bridge that spans the Harlem River to connect the boroughs of Manhattan and the Bronx.

Construction on the project begins in November 2018 and ends in February 2022.
