Skanska to renovate and expand higher education building in USA for USD 117 M, about SEK 800 M

Skanska has signed a contract to renovate and expand a higher education building for a confidential client in the North East Region of USA. The contract value is USD 117 M, SEK 800 M, which will be included in the order bookings for Skanska USA Building for the third quarter 2012.

Skanska will build the 20,000 square meter project in two separate phases. Phase One includes the construction of a 9,800 square meter addition to the base of the current Law School Tower. Phase Two of the project will include a full restoration of the existing 15,500 square meter facility. The building aims to achieve LEED® Silver certification. 

Construction for Phase One of the project will commence in December 2012 and is scheduled for completion in May 2015. Phase Two is schedule to begin in June 2014 and is scheduled for completion in August 2015.
