Therese Tegner has been appointed as the new Executive Vice President of Human Resources for the Skanska Group. Therese will step into her new position and join Skanska’s Group Leadership Team on April 1. Therese currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Financial Services at Skanska.

Therese has previously held various roles within Skanska Financial Services, including Head of Project Advisory and Guarantees & Insurances. Prior to that, she worked as a Senior Associate at Archibald Law Firm and as Legal Counsel at Swedfund International AB.

“I am very happy to welcome Therese to the Group Leadership Team. Her comprehensive knowledge of Skanska’s business and how it is built, coupled with the people focus will be crucial for our work going forward. Especially when it comes to implementing our business strategy that we launched in January this year. Therese's experience as a leader will be important engaging the entire organization in this work”, says Anders Danielsson, President and CEO of the Skanska Group.

“One of the many things I appreciate about Skanska is the fact it is an organization that puts its people front and center. Now being responsible for the continued group-wide work regarding this feels inspiring and important. Our continued success is based on strengthening that strong, vibrant, value-driven culture, says Therese Tegner, newly appointed EVP of Human Resources.

Therese succeeds Kirsi Mettälä, who has announced that she wishes to step down from her position as Executive Vice President of Human Resources.

"I want to thank Kirsi for her significant work and contribution to the development of the Skanska we see today. She has played a central role in developing and implementing the strategy that we launched in 2018 to increase profitability in all business areas. Her drive, skills and personal approach will be missed. I wish her all the best in the future”, says Anders Danielsson, President and CEO of Skanska Group.
