SKF Aerospace gains contract for MSEK 500

SKF Aerospace gains contract for MSEK 500 SARMA, a French subsidiary of SKF dedicated to the sales and manufacturing of airframe bearings, electro-mechanical flight-control systems and electromechanical equipment for fly-by-wire systems, has been awarded a contract by Aerospatiale-Matra Airbus for the supply of airframe bearings as well as metallic and composite rods. The contract is for MSEK 100 per year over the next five years. The bearings and the rods are manufactured at the SARMA plants in France and deliveries will start this year. SKF Aerospace, that also includes bearings for jet engines, has annual sales amounting to approximately MSEK 1 600. SKF is the world's largest supplier of aeroengine bearings.
