SKF and The Sixth Fund Board form joint company

SKF and The Sixth Fund Board form joint company SKF and The National Pension Insurance Fund - Sixth Fund Board have decided to form a joint company for the production and sales of tubearings, a simpler type of rolling bearing used in applications such as wheels for trolleys, Zimmer frames, lawn mowers, etc. The new company will be owned to 60% by the National Pension Insurance Fund - Sixth Fund Board and to 40% by SKF. The production of tubearings, which have been developed and marketed by SKF, is based at SKF in Göteborg. The company has ten employees. Customers are mainly in Europe and in North America. Thomas Nordström, the present CEO of IUC in Olofström has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the new company. The joint company will start its operations on January 1, 2000.
