SKF will be the main partner of the world's biggest soccer tournament for girls and boys, Gothia Cup, for 3 years from 2006.

When SKF looked for activities to celebrate its 100-year anniversary, Gothia Cup came up as a natural working partner. - SKF is a truly global company reaching out to people all over the world. Our products are found in all kinds of industries, households, vehicles and many sports. SKF also plays an active role in all the communities in which we operate, says Tom Johnstone, President and CEO of SKF. Through Gothia Cup, SKF will at the same time support today's young people reaching out to tomorrow's employees as well as customers or distributors. - The agreement gives Gothia Cup security for the future, says the General of the Gothia Cup, Dennis Andersson, financially, by continuing the development of the tournament but also globally, by the fantastic network SKF has built up around the world in almost 100 years. The connection between SKF and Gothia Cup is bigger than it seems at first sight. Both are based in Gothenburg and have built their activity around similar values such as: Ethics, Teamwork, Openness, Service, Environment, Joy and Future. Further, both see the whole world as their natural market. - For us, it is of utmost importance to be able to continue the strategic aim and direction of creating a meeting place for young people around the world, irrespective of religion, skin color, or cultural differences. It is gratifying that a big company as SKF supports us in this ambition, means Dennis Andersson. - Gothia Cup is a perfect partner for SKF to reach out to young people globally, says Tom Johnstone.
