SKF creates stand-alone company for its endorsia.com activities SKF has decided to organise its e-business activities into a separate legal unit. This to ensure that the efforts to utilise Internet as a tool to strengthen SKF's position in the world market are co-ordinated and developed in an efficient way. Being a stand-alone company also strengthens endorsia.com's position as a neutral marketplace for other manufacturers than SKF. The new company will be named Endorsia.com International AB. Endorsia.com was introduced to strengthen SKF and its distributors in the industrial aftermarket, and the programme to add distributors to the portal is continuing with high priority. Endorsia.com will now also be used by the Group's other divisions as a portal for easy connection to support the sales operations. Endorsia.com has also been chosen as the marketplace for the purchasing of the SKF Group's global maintenance and repair supplies. Interest from other end-users to use endorsia.com for their e-procurement is also rapidly increasing and this will put increasing demands on the development of the neutral marketplace to serve a quickly growing customer base. Rolf Nordahl, currently responsible for Industrial Distribution within the SKF Service Division, has been appointed Managing Director of the new company. Christer Cedervall, currently project leader for endorsia.com, will be Deputy Managing Director. The new company will start its operations during the month of May.
