SKF delivers axleboxes to Bombardier for the new Austrian Talent trains

SKF has gained an order from Bombardier Transportation for axleboxes and roller bearing units for the new Talent trains for the Austrian Federal Railways, ÖBB.

The total SKF contract value is close to Euro 4 million. The delivery to Bombardier Transportation in Germany will start this year and be finished in 2007. The new batch of 60 Bombardier Talent trains will be operated by ÖBB to expand its fleet to more than 170 Talent trains to be used mainly on the S-Bahn in Vienna to upgrade the train service. The bearings will be manufactured at SKF's facilities in Germany while the axleboxes comes from SKF's facilities in France.
