SKF delivers bearings for 500 Chinese locomotives

SKF has gained an order of 14 million euro from CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. ZELC.

The latest design of 500 main line electric locomotives, for Chinese railways, will be equipped with SKF axleboxes and drive system bearings.

The Chinese Ministry of Railways MoR and ZELC have chosen the SKF package solution because of SKF’s unique experience and know-how in advanced European locomotive applications.

SKF supplies the world railway industry, with a full assortment of products and services for all types of railway vehicles such as high speed vehicles, locomotives, multiple units, coaches, mass transit vehicles and freight cars.
