SKF inaugurates its 10th factory in China

SKF inaugurated today its wholly-owned automotive components facility, SKF (Shanghai) Automotive Technologies Co. Ltd., in Anting Auto Town, Shanghai.

This new factory is part of SKF’s global strategy to further strengthen the presence in China, as well as increasing the capacity and competitiveness in the Asia region as a whole. Quality and product performance will be kept fully aligned with SKF high international standards, using state-of-the-art machines, material and highly skilled employees.

USD 25 million has been invested in two channels producing hub bearing units for cars.

An automotive technology centre will also be built in this facility to support SKF strategic growth in China.

In order to service the vehicle service market segment in China, kitting and packing operations will be made within the same facility.

The other nine SKF factories in China are located in Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian and Wuhu.
