SKF will be promoting its capabilities as a single-source supplier to the marine trades and maritime industries at Asia’s largest maritime market event.

Gothenburg, Sweden, 3 November 2017: SKF is a key technology supplier to the marine trades and maritime industries, offering a broad portfolio of products and services from waste oil handling and environmental compliance technologies, to onboard safety and maintenance planning.

The company's showing at this year's Marintec China 2017 (Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China, December 5-8) will demonstrate how SKF's products are meeting the challenges of this global market, saving costs and enhancing the reliability and availability of essential equipment. The message this year for the industry is: “Simplify with SKF Marine”.

In Hall N2, Booth F31-01, visitors will be shown a variety of technologies that demonstrate SKF Marine’s position as a maritime engineering expert and contact partner of choice to this vibrant industry.

Among the products on display will be SKF’s wire rope lubricator, which eliminates manual lubrication of steel hawsers of up to 52mm diameter; SKF's new hydraulic Quickgrip Bolts for flange connections, which make maintenance for shaft couplings faster, easier, safer and more reliable than other types of hydraulic and conventional bolts, and the Turbulo Sludge Buoy, a mechanical device for separating oil from water while avoiding the need for manual drainage.

SKF’s marine condition monitoring and condition-based maintenance solutions, such as the SKF Multilog Online System IMx-8 compact digital machine health monitoring system and the SKF Enlight Centre, a next-generation internet-enabled, condition-based maintenance and condition monitoring software solution will be available for inspection in the booth.

Visitors will also be able to view a 3D model of SKF’s Simplex Intermediate shaft bearing, a plain bearing configuration specifically designed for supporting ship propulsion shafts, as well as a Simplex Airspace sterntube seal with Simplex Composite net protector.

“Simplify with SKF Marine” is a global campaign to present SKF Marine as the contact partner and expert of choice for the marine sector. SKF's marine portfolio is extensive and the company can truly claim to be a 'one-stop shop' for this vitally important industry.
