SKF strengthens its position in Linear Motion

SKF strengthens its position in Linear Motion SKF has established a partnership with the Italian company Gamfior in the area of ground ball screws. SKF is already today world leader in roller screws. With this partnership Transrol - the SKF unit responsible worldwide for the manufacturing and sales of ball and roller screws - can offer the market a complete range of high efficiency ball and roller screws branded SKF. The main market for the products manufactured by Gamfior is machine tool manufacturers, while Transrol has been targeting different industrial applications such as railways, medical instruments and factory automation. The partnership also includes a technological cooperation between the two companies. Transrol has yearly sales of some SEK 205 million and some 220 employees.
