SKF to host destruction event aimed at raising awareness of counterfeit bearings

Gothenburg, 5 June 2018: SKF is pleased to invite members of the media to join a press event in Gothenburg on 27 June at 13:30 Swedish Time. The press event will last approximately 60 minutes and will include presentations from both SKF Brand Protection experts and representatives from the European Anti-fraud Office (OLAF) and Swedish Customs and Police Authorities.   

The event will showcase efforts to combat the distribution of counterfeit bearings. In addition, approximately 30 tonnes of counterfeit bearings seized during some of the approximately 100 raids in which SKF participates on a yearly basis will be destroyed at the event.
