Skogluft spreads its mission worldwide with a unique certification program
The Norwegian growth company is currently launching its living walls internationally. The launch of Skogluft Academy is furthering the company's mission of reconnecting people with nature.
The three-month digital course is now open for people around the world to become Certified Skogluft Indoor Nature Consultants. Skogluft Academy is the only certification program of its kind, training the participants to be specialists in bringing nature indoors.
– Everyone who wants to make our indoor spaces greener, calmer, healthier and happier places to live is welcome to join the English-spoken training, says Skogluft’s Head of Academy, Kat Novotna, and continues:
– By becoming Certified Indoor Nature Consultants, people can help others improve their mental, physical and emotional health by bringing the 'forest air' indoors.
Novotna is Skogluft’s spokesperson in the Netherlands, where the company is currently launching. The training program builds upon her 20 years of expertise with highly engaging and transformative educational programs.
– My passion is to help people reconnect with the planet, with themselves and others through nature outdoors, indoors, and within, Novotna explains.
Training future nature ambassadors
Skogluft’s CEO Morten Kvam is proud to offer Skogluft Academy to nature ambassadors worldwide. – Skogluft is based on 30 years of experience and more than 10 years of research on the effects of bringing nature indoors. Spreading this essential knowledge is a natural extension of our vision and we're grateful that Kat now brings her 20 years of international experience to the table in this educational program, Kvam says.
The Skogluft Certified Indoor Nature Consultant training is for anyone who:
- Have a home (office) and would like to create a green oasis for themselves and their loved ones, and learn how to relax with nature connection techniques indoors.
- Are an employer | HR professional and would like to create a more attractive environment for their teams, boosting their focus, attention span, creative thinking and wellbeing.
- Are a forest bathing or nature guide and would like to add a new skill to their toolbox of ways to help reconnect people and the planet, also indoors.
- Work as a Sustainability Manager and want to make their company greener and more sustainable and stimulate the awareness of nature connection within their teams and towards their clients.
- Work in healthcare and would like to support the health, wellbeing and recovery of their patients and staff based on scientifically proven methods.
- Work with children and would like to support their health, wellbeing and eco-consciousness, while stimulating their ability to focus, learn and be more creative.
- Are an interior designer or architect who would like to design unique, visually appealing and feel-good interiors and buildings with a living wall system that is variable and easy to install and maintain.
- Work as a therapist, counsellor or mediator and would like to help their clients feel more at ease during sessions. To create an inspiring environment where their clients feel calmer while making it easier for them to open up.
- Have a massage or yoga practice and would like to add an extra dimension of nature connection to their classes and make the space a unique oasis of peace and wellbeing, partnering with living nature.
A varied and engaging 3-month course
The training is a blend of varied and engaging online content and monthly live Q&A sessions via Zoom. In the three-month program, the participants will learn about the profound benefits of nature connection indoors, biophilic design, experiential knowledge of easy nature-based techniques such as Shinrin-yoku and EcoNIDRA™, internationally approved tools that they can use to measure the benefits of nature (connection) indoors and much more.
