SkyVentures invest in Anthropics Ltd. SkyVentures have together with a consortium of British institutional investors, through a directed new issue invested a total of 6 MGBP in the British software company Anthropics Ltd. Anthropics have developed a unique technology for delivering multimedia content and moving pictures at a very low bandwidth in mobile networks and in other networks. Anthropics' product is in its launch phase and the funds will be used for marketing and further development of the product for telecom operators and media companies. "The fact that Anthropics have a very experienced management team, a software with patent applied for, and not least a product that is already introduced to clients both in Europe and the US made this a very attractive investment for us", says Patrick Svensk, CEO of SkyVentures. "The company have received a great interest from a number of leading telecom operators in Europe and the US who are looking for technologies that will function in the existing GSM-net. Simply put, Anthropics' software makes it possible for moving pictures of TV quality to be sent over only a tenth of the bandwidth needed by the competitors, something which of course have attracted the customers attention", says Patrick Svensk further. As new Director of the Board of Anthropics, SkyVentures have nominated Greger Larsson, resigning Senior Vice President SBS Broadcasting, former Vice President Modern Times Group (MTG). "I and SkyVentures hope to provide Anthropics with useful contacts, for example on the Scandinavian market, where potential customers and partners for the company can be found", says Greger Larsson.
