Slättö acquires residential portfolio with a focus on sustainable investments
Slättö continues to expand its portfolio with the acquisition of twelve residential properties in central Norrkoping, a growing university city in Sweden.
A fund managed by Slättö has completed the acquisition of 325 apartments from Eklöf Fastigheter, representing a combined leasable area of almost 24,000 square meters.
- This is our first residential acquisition in almost two years. Since early 2022, we have seen increased yield requirements in the segment. Our overall conviction towards residential has always been strong, however, the current combination of rental growth potential and entry pricing has created a good opportunity to start buying again, says Christian Bratt, Partner at Slättö and Head of Residential.
Slättö will develop an action plan to invest in energy efficiency across the portfolio. Slättö’s assessment is that, after implementing these measures, the portfolio’s alignment with the EU green taxonomy criteria will improve significantly.
- This investment is a strong complement to our existing portfolio, with its central location, low vacancies and opportunity for value-add investments in energy efficiency, adds Christian Bratt.
