New Invention to Hold Rolled-up Sleeves In Place Debuts at MRket Tradeshow in Las Vegas
Called ‘Sleeve Clips’, the new accessory receives strong interest from fellow exhibitors and attending vendors
Las Vegas, Nevada- Augst 23, 2011 - A new invention to hold rolled-up sleeves in place was launched this weekend in Las Vegas at the menswear tradeshow, MRket. Interest in the new product was strong and widespread, as exhibitors and buyers alike visited the Sleeve Clips booth to find out more about the clip. Hailed by its inventors as the first clip specifically engineered to hold up shirt-sleeves and marketed with the tagline “Hold it with Style,” the device drew positive reviews for its effectiveness and sleek design. It was also touted as a useful clip for ties, collars, pants, belts, shoelaces and cash & credit cards.
“It's great to see new products like Sleeve Clips enter the menswear industry at the LV MRket Show,” says Jonathan Boos, founder and CEO of Wurkin Stiffs, one of the shows most popular exhibitors. “ I believe in being an innovator and support young guys wanting to make their mark in the industry.”
Handcrafted in the USA, the stainless steel clips rely on unique design elements and cutting-edge technology to hold sleeves in place. Utilizing its patent pending Integrated-Lever technology, custom formulated springs and leather covered hinge, Sleeve Clips are engineered to deliver exceptional clamping power and comfort.
“Sleeve Clips are very simple – they hold up your sleeves so they do not roll down,” says Sleeve Clip inventor and founder Alfred English. “When I was working as a bartender a few years ago, I became frustrated with my sleeves rolling down while I was serving customers. So I started searching for something to keep my sleeves up in a comfortable and stylish manner. I quickly realized such a product didn’t exist. The best option was Sleeve Bands, which is basically a thick rubber band, and that wasn’t something I felt comfortable wearing to work, to important meetings or in public generally. So, that’s when my quest to invent the perfect Sleeve Clip began.”
Ultimately, Alfred – with the aid of his friend Apollo Crowe who worked in the toy design industry – were satisfied that the perfect Sleeve Clip had been created. The design for the new clip was then submitted to the U.S. patent office where it is currently pending.
At the show, Sleeve Clips showcased their lineup of vintage inspired designs as well as being fully customizable. Sleeve Clips are currently available online at www.sleeveclips.com and at select retailers in L.A.
