SMART-TRIAL champion surveys for medical device regulation at virtual conference

VP of Business Development for SMART-TRIAL, Jon I. Bergsteinsson set to speak on surveys for data collection to navigate Medical Device Regulation (MDR) at the first Medical Device Trials: A Virtual Experience Conference. 

Jon I. Bergsteinsson is set to speak on July 16th at 10 am BST on how to successfully conduct Post-Market Clinical Follow-up (PMCF) Surveys. He has covered the topic of PMCF and Surveys for MDR compliance on multiple occasions. This combined with his experience of assisting MedTech companies set up surveys in SMART-TRIAL gives him insights on both a practical and regulatory level. This is the foundation of his talk titled ‘How to conduct a successful PMCF survey’.

In his opinion, a PMCF survey under the MDR is not like a traditional marketing survey. He added "as a sponsor, you need to ensure that your methods and data will pass the scrutiny of the Notified Bodies" While PMCF surveys have left MedTech clinical teams with open questions, Jon intends on providing answers. He further adds "In this session, I will present advice and guidance on how to conduct a PMCF Survey, based on success stories from the MedTech industry”
